A Brief History
Tasburgh United Football Club was formed in 2012, aimed at youth football. We started with teams at under 8s and under 12s. Due to popular demand, midway through the first year an under 10s team was added. More age groups have been added since then. The club re-branded in 2022, marking its 10 year anniversary by creating a new club logo.
We have 9 different youth teams playing in leagues for the 2024/25 season. This includes Girls teams at u13 & u15. During the season all age groups train on the Long Stratton 3G pitch, which we believe is the best facility for our young players in all weather conditions.
The club is FA Charter Standard accredited, which highlights the hard work put in by all of volunteers. Launched in 2001, The FA Charter Standard Programme is The FA’s accreditation scheme for grassroots clubs and leagues. Its goal is to raise standards in grassroots football, support the development of clubs and leagues, recognising and rewarding them for their commitment and achievements. With this in mind, The FA Charter Standard accreditation is awarded to clubs and leagues rigorously adjudged to be well-run and sustainable – and which prioritise child protection, quality coaching and the implementation of the Respect programme.
We’re very proud to have won Norfolk FA’s Grassroots Club of the year in 2019.
Our club continues to thrive and we always love to be able to bring in new age groups – usually with a parent volunteer coach leading an age group. At our club, you’ll find a group of people whose main aim is to help the local children to enjoy their football & to develop their skills. As long as our players and coaches all enjoy football at our club, we’ll continue to thrive.
We’re always looking for volunteers and assistance can be given to develop our coaches’ knowledge and skills, so if you’re interested in this please contact us on our facebook page.
